Fear does not mean stop.
Have you been stepping outside your box? Taking a few risks here and there? Have you experienced fear as a result? Perhaps with a soupcon of doubt? (Perhaps the fear is keeping you from taking a step in the first place!) You know what that fear actually means? It means the brain is trying to keep you within your “safe” parameters, within the box that you are used to living in. (I mean this literally! There is actually an alarm system in your brain that is designed to keep you in your “safe zone”.) So, this is when “feel the fear and do it anyway” comes in. It is also why when you DO stretch, the second time you do whatever it is, it won’t create the same level of fear — you are already in a bigger box!
