💗 Slow and relaxing stretch… 💗

A Gentle Full Body Yoga Stretch to Release Tension and Feel Amazing

Lately this is how my practices have looked.  Gentle, slow, and relaxting. A gentle full body yoga stretch feels so good and can help release accumulated tension, improve flexibility, and calm the nervous system.

This is especially true in midlife, when our bodies often respond best to movement that supports mobility and recovery rather than pushing toward exhaustion.

The beautiful thing about gentle yoga is that it invites you to listen, to get quiet.

Instead of forcing your body into shapes, you move gradually, breathing into areas that feel tight and allowing the muscles to soften over time. This type of movement encourages circulation, supports joint health, and helps the nervous system shift out of stress mode.

Most of us carry tension in the same areas of the body: the hips, the shoulders, the upper back, and the spine. A slow, full body stretch gives these areas time to release.

Gentle yoga is also incredibly accessible. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced. You simply need a willingness to show up, move slowly, and give your body the care it deserves.

That’s why I created this Gentle Full Body Yoga Stretch practice.

It’s a beautiful reminder that wellness doesn’t always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from slowing down.

If your body has been asking for a moment of care, this gentle stretch is a wonderful place to begin. Roll out your mat, take a few deep breaths, and allow your body the space to soften. You might be surprised how amazing a few minutes of gentle movement can make you feel.
