I must admit, I have a love-hate relationship with this pose. It is both an empowering pose – I love the feeling when I am done – and it is an honesty measure for how much tension I am carrying in my back – which has been a lot as of late.
That said, it is also a pose that can cause a considerable amount of injury, especially over the long-haul. Here are a few tips to help keep you safe in this pose, especially the wrists and the lower back.
I also find I enjoy the pose more when I am following these tips.
