Tip #1: Gratitude
Your attitude.
Think about it, joyful people have more energy. It’s that simple.
Are you ready to up your attitude this week? It is easier than you think!
I will be sharing with you easy, peasy tips and tricks you can implement right away to begin to shift your attitude to improve your energy.
You are going to be surprised at how easy this work can be!!
Let’s start this week with the step that can be a Game Changer: Gratitude.Â
I’m sure you have heard much about the power of gratitude – there is a reason it is so big!
There isn’t one single action you can take that will change your attitude faster and more profoundly.
Think about it. The moment you change your attention to gratitude, you shift to love.
I encourage you to look for gratitude on three levels:
- For life in general: When was the last time you said thank you for waking up in the morning and having another day around the sun?
- For anything that comes easily for you: You know, the areas of your life that you don’t even think of feeling gratitude because it’s just always great.
- For your challenges. I know, this one is hard. Stick with me, though. The challenges in our lives are there for a reason. They wake us up, force us to grow and evolve,
NOW YOU:
Take a moment right now to think of ONE thing you are grateful for in this moment and comment below. Now, here’s the catch, you need to FEEL the gratitude.

You can’t just write “family” and move on with your day. Type it in, then stop, put your hand over your heart and feel the love you have for your family. It’s the FEELING that will help you shift to a more positive attitude.
Tip #2: Choose People
“You feel the way the five people you spend the most time with leave you feeling.”
Jim Rohn
Think about it. It’s very true!
So you want to choose very wisely the people you share your time with very carefully.
Are the people you spend the most time with positive or negative? Are you filling your time with Debbie Downers and Eeyores?
Nobody can be positive all the time. Sometimes we have bad days or we need to vent and we just need a friend to listen. But that should be the exception, not the rule.
Corollary: What residual do YOU leave? Are you the positive person? Or the eeyore? We all like to think we are the positive influence, but be honest with yourself. I began this exercise myself when I was writing my first book, Awaken to Joy. I took a good hard look at my attitude and realized I was negative more than I was positive! While it was hard to see it, the benefit was I could start making changes.
NOW YOU:
Think of ONE person in your life that fills you with joy. Comment below with that person’s initials. Then set up a time to chat with him/her, have lunch, or just text them a message that says, “I was thinking of you!”
Tip #3: Expect Something Wonderful
Best. Exercise. Ever.Â
Instead of dreading phone calls, emails, doorbells (which I had been), I was excitedly looking for the good news.
AND at the end of the day, I looked back on the day to think “What was my wonderful thing today?”
It may have been an email from a friend saying she was thinking about me or a meaningful hug from my child or a card in the mail. Sometimes is was larger, unexpected money, a job opportunity, reconnecting with an old friend.
These things happens to us regularly but we often don’t notice them because we aren’t paying attention.
Begin to pay attention.
Are you ready?
NOW YOU:
You know where we are going here, don’t you? Yep, EXPECT SOMETHING WONDERFUL to happen TODAY!
THEN: Be the “something wonderful” for someone else! Text someone, email, FB message, write a card, send a gift, pay for the coffee for the person behind you in line, whatever.
Watch not only your energy soar, but your “Feel Good” energy, too!
Tip #4: Young Living to the Rescue!
I think this area is one of the BEST for using the oils. Yep, they affect your attitude. They can raise your vibration, shift your brain, open your mind to new ideas AND they are potent for simply setting your intention!
Like Tip #3, “Expect Something Wonderful to Happen”, you set your intention by using a particular oil.
