There’s a moment many of us reach—usually somewhere in midlife—where our body starts asking for something different.
Not louder.

If you’ve been feeling tightness in your shoulders, tension in your upper back, or that familiar ache creeping into your neck by the end of the day, you’re not alone. And more importantly—you’re not stuck.
I wish I had known this over 15 years ago:
The answer isn’t pushing through or stretching harder. It’s learning how to release.
So many of us carry stress in the shoulders and upper back without even realizing it. It builds slowly—through long hours sitting, emotional stress, old habits, and even workouts that no longer serve us the same way they once did.
And here’s where things shift.
In this season of life, your body responds beautifully to intentional, supportive movement. The kind that creates space instead of strain. The kind that works with your nervous system instead of against it.
That’s exactly why I created this 16-minute yoga practice.
This is the flow I come back to again and again—on the days when my shoulders feel tight, when my posture needs a reset, or when I simply want to feel lighter in my body.
Inside this practice, we gently:
- Open the chest and shoulders
- Release built-up tension in the upper back
- Improve posture without forcing it
- Support the nervous system so your body can actually let go
It’s simple. It’s effective. And it meets your body where you are.
Because here’s the truth:
You don’t need to “fix” your body. You need to listen to it.
And when you do?
Things start to soften.
Breath deepens.
Tension melts.
You feel like yourself again.
