You know what? This pose is my FIRST memory of Yoga.
I was in my first class with my teacher. I even remember where I was standing – back righthand corner. We got into this pose and I distinctly remember thinking, “what in the world?” I just thought it was the weirdest position ever.
And it really it, when you think about it.
Side bend from the hip, not the spine. It’s an odd position fo rate body to be in.
AND, it is one that is frequently misaligned in my students.
In this video, I share 3 tips for aligning your pose, especially to protect your back, shoulders and knees. I also find I enjoy the pose more when I am following these tips.
