This post is not what I had intended to write today. I am feeling very moved to put a bit of positivity into the world this week.

So much anger, judgment, hatred going around. Orlando killings, the little boy and the alligator, the gorilla shooting, I can hardly go through two minutes of my Facebook feed without reading more anger.

While these emotions may be quite human, they aren’t the answer. Answering anger with more anger only creates more anger.

“No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”

~ Albert Einstein

Anger is only useful when it moves you to take positive action. Sitting and seething in it will only harm you and add more negativity to the world.

So what CAN you do?

These words came to me years ago, after the disastrous earthquake in Haiti. I keep coming back to them whenever I feel myself fall into a feeling of helplessness.

What can we possibly do to make a difference?

Heed the words of Mother Theresa. Everything counts, everything makes a difference. Be the living expression of God’s kindness in everyone you meet today.

Trust me, it will reach Orlando.
