In my favorite sutra, sutra 1.12, of the Yoga Sutras, Patanjali refers to Abhyasa or Persevering Practice. Basically a Persevering Practice refers to dedicating yourself to your practice for a long period of time. Then, and only then, will you experience the Yogic state of bliss. The question is, what is a persevering practing?

Speak to your class in the singular. “Lie on your back.” Rather than “lie on your backs.” So simple and I find so much power in simplicity. Now your student feels you are talking directly to him/her, giving you a deeper connection. The more connected you are to a student, the more he/she will learn from you.
